For me, I was never familiar with the Shogun Warriors, so I'm not as bothered by anyone left out. I really don't know how I missed them--it's a concept I would have always thought was cool. They were created by Go Nagai, and Marvel didn't get those licenses, so they used Combatra (Combattler to transliterate properly) and Dangaurd Ace. All of these cartoons were done by Toei Animation. Moench used the standard plot of evil empire coming back to life and using giant robots/beasts etc to battle our heroes.
