There's a nice book, "Flashgun Casey, Crime Photographer" by J. Randolph Cox and David Siegel, that provides a lot of information about the Casey character from his appearances in BLACK MASK pulp magazine to radio and TV. It also includes one of the short stores from the pulp.
ReplyDeleteI own that book myself and also recommend it--it's a great resource about Casey and all his incarnations. I'm hoping someone will bring the original pulp stories (especially the novel "Silent are the Dead")eventually.
ReplyDeleteI think I have magical powers. I just checked and "Silent are the Dead" is now available for the Kindle. All this time and all I had to do was wish for it in the comments section of my blog!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! Just saw your reply concerning "Silent Are the Dead" on Kindle. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
