Thanks very much for doing this video. Expressing support for Gold Key always elicited a snicker or eye roll, or a disparaging reference to the issues being sold in plastic packages, but the self-contained stories sealed the deal for me. Keeping up with the multi-issue "epics" and endless continuity from DC and Marvel tired me out by the time I was seven.
ReplyDeleteThere was a podcast dedicated to Star Trek in the 1970s, and they did an episode on the Gold Key version of the show, with hilarious examples of just how inappropriate the characterization was at times. If I can find the link, I'll pass it on.
